Ephod Winery Keter Cabernet Sauvignon /Merlot 2019, Israel

#kosherwineSunday

Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.

Nose of red fruits with light wood, spices and coffee.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate with cherries, plums, light oak, spices, chocolates, vegetable, bitter herbs, earth, licorice and black pepper.

Tangy finish with fine grained tannins and cranberries.

This is a nice Cabernet Sauvignon based Bordeaux blend from the Galilee region in Israel. Soft, tangy and elegant. Feels like a red Bordeaux.

Needs an hour to open up properly, and gets earthier as it opens up. Easy drinking and better with food.

A blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Merlot. Kosher and not Mevushal.

13.5% alcohol by volume.

88 points.

$30.
