Wow. You’d never know this was a Merlot. Mushroom, red currants, and a touch of plum at PnP. After 2 hrs open it starts hitting its stride. Dark chocolate, white and black pepper, some leather, and a touch of allspice. Becomes a bold red in a way that doesn’t match the label. It’s an 04 that still has legs.
