May 4th, 2020For whatever reason, I love connecting wine to memories from my childhood and Roussanne always reminds me of pull tab canned fruit cocktail - the syrupy kind with the peaches and the apricots and the neon cherry glowing prize. If you save the pulpy liquid for the end, you’d have a version of Roussanne. While I love the flavors, I’ve had many meak, watery, angular examples.
This is bullseye. Expertly assembled. Take those fruit cocktail notes and add a good dash of cinnamon and nutmeg. So good.
