2 people found it helpfulDec 19th, 2015Cassis on the nose and a bit of brett. The texture is so silky, I just can't get enough. I paired it with a creamy pasta dish which added to the mouthfeel. A bit of mushroomy earth quality as well. The alcohol and acid are in a good balance. 2006 vintage but important to note that it's a 375 so it aged a bit faster.

Oct 3rd, 2015Solid. Stewed dark fruit, mocha, oak is well integrated, round tannin. A bit hot at 14.7, but hey - it's a big boy.

Mar 29th, 2013On the one hand, this one has some cinnamon spice, black pepper finish, blackberry start, herbal middle. On the other hand, the acidity and the tannin were allowing this one to show its true potential and the tannins on this wine have definitely softened and integrated. Simply put, this wine is singing tonight. In the perfect place where tannins have softened, fruit is at the height, and acidity is in check. I don't know how much longer this one will be where it is right now, but definitely taking advantage of this one tonight!
