Going out early tomorrow morning to see the transition of the birdlife at one of our treasured, local reserves, so I'm hoping this will bring some luck for good sightings. Last bottle 😕
Color is like salmon-copper, amazing.
Nose has dried orange peel, fresh cranberry and raspberry juice.
Palate is showing light oxidation, but I think that's appealing, alongside strawberry-cranberry and light Silex notes. One of our favorite bottles, trendy before the hipsters picked up the "Put a Bird on It!" meme, I do miss Portlandia.

Mar 29th, 2019Color is like liquid copper, amazing. Took about an hour to open, then nearly as good as upon release, nice acid, Loire Cab Franc, tart strawberry on the palate. One more bottle and we're clean out, loved this wine, only found it once. One of our favorite bottles, with a bird on it!
