La Source Seven Springs Pinot Noir

medium reddish purple with amber rim; wet leaves, mushrooms, pine needles; red currants, tart cranberry, very long; light bodied, medium+ acidity, medium- tannin, 13% ABV; fruit completely destemmed then put in open top oak and cement fermenters, aged 14 months in 25% new French oak; $60 at release

Still youthful. Wonderful mineral, lemon aromas. Very Burgundian. Will be interesting to see how this evolves - should age like a champ.

Perfectly balanced with an earthy mushroom risotto and freshly shaved parm.

very brick in colour, nose complex and lacking fruit, palate smooth and balanced with med. London finish

Very round and lush. Red fruits and smooth finish.

Showing much better than previous bottles I've opened. Historically too funky but much better balance on the finish now.
