Evening Land Vineyards
Seven Springs Vineyard Chardonnay
Ripe peach, Apple, and pear all sprinkled with lemon zest. M body and acid. Long finish. The fruit carries through on the palate.

Sep 7th, 2017Good acid and fruit with a bit of a saline streak. Not much oak and Burgundian in style. Still enough weight and structure to enjoy through a meal including a 42oz porterhouse!

Oct 31st, 2019Fresh, saline nose. Bright, well balanced acidity in the mouth with a slightly bitter ending.

Aug 13th, 2019Delicious and vibrant. Really enjoyed this selection with the youthful tropical fruits, wet slate, and nuanced menthol on the nose.

Dec 21st, 2018Mycket frisk och mineraldriven Chardonnay. Vaxig munkänsla med smak av snäckskal, örter, krut, croissantflarn, nätmelon och blommor. Avslutet har en trevlig beska. Fräschörnivån total.

Nov 10th, 2018First time cracking into our stash brought home from the honeymoon! This brought back many fond memories. Quite nice stuff, as you’d expect from a producer like Evening Land. Pours a bright medium (-) straw/gold hue. Medium (+) concentration of aromatics of ripe yellow pears and apples, almond paste, lemon curd, heavy cream, clean riverbed stone minerality, soft pretzel and aged cheese rind leesiness, and a tiny bit of nutmeg and vanilla from well-applied new French oak. On the palate, the wine is focused with more flavors of lemon curd, ripe green pear, a quartz-like minerality, just-ripe starfruit, aged cheese rind and pretzel leesy character, and a tiny bit of nutmeg from that new oak. Medium (+) acid, medium (+) in-balance alcohol, dry, with a medium (-) body with a slightly oily feel. Great stuff. Meursault-like. Looking forward to further enjoying our honeymoon stash!

Nov 27th, 2017Definitely can taste the connection between Evening Land and Sandhi. Overall it's very nice. Excellent mouth feel, not buttery.

Oct 5th, 2017I tend to like my chard a little leaner and zippier but this was nice with my lobster and drawn butter. It's not fat by any means just richer than I was expecting, a little heavy on the malo and oak flavors but enough acidity and citrus to cut through it. Surprised I didn't like this more given how much I've enjoyed some of the Sandhi wines
