Evening Land Vineyards
Willamette Valley Pinot Noir
Dark color - pomegranate, cassis, and smoke on the nose. Black raspberries and cassis on the palate. Heavy body with a thick structure and a chalky finish. A touch of VA and a little higher alcohol.

May 28th, 2017Not a stunner but pleasing and paired well with charcuterie. I prefer the Chardonnay but this is nice. My wife and her sister loved it.

May 12th, 2014Red cherry fruit on the nose gives way on the palate to pomegranate and cranberry acidity backing gorgeous cherry fruit. Mouthwatering acidity and a long long finish that ends with a burst of pepper and spice.

Dec 12th, 20132011 Evening Land Pinot Noir Willamette Valley. Very good ruby red color, very pleasing to the eye. The aroma has that text book funk but not over the top. We have some strawberry and red raspberry. This seems to be the standard of the Willamette as of Burgundy. At first taste the acid and tannins are right up front followed by unripe strawberries. There is a bit of minerality and soil. Seems a little disjointed and light on the mouth feel but I must admit I had some salted peanuts from the shell before that might be throwing my palate off a bit. Not a bad wine all in all just not one that makes my mouth sing.
