Angel's Reserve Lodi Petite Sirah

This style of wine is popular in some circles, but has never been to my own taste. It is heavily Oakes, overwhelming the fruit which is my preferred tasting proxy. The predominant flavors are oak, cigar, road asphalt, and graphite. This style will suit aficionados of such thick and smoky wines, but it is not to my own taste.

A dark bold red, readily drinkable

Very delicious, and a sweet finish

I usually like Petite Sirah, but this just felt syrupy. I didn’t waste it, but I didn’t much like it, either. Tolerable.
