Aroma has bright cherry, earthy herbs and slight mineral notes. Palate has red fruit, wicked cherry, strawberry, blackberry, minor metallic note early, but since dissipated. Zero tannins left, very smooth and quite enjoyable.
This has to be the best Chianti Classico anyone could pay $22 for, and our last bottle 😞, good to know we still have Riserva in the rack!

Dec 21st, 2015It does not get much better for the $ in Chianti Classico. The 2012 vintage shows floral and spice with good fruit complexity. If anything the oak might be a little overwhelming, but just a little and should integrate with more time. #felsina #sangiovese #classic

Sep 30th, 2015This is really, really nice. Loads of gorgeous fruit, plenty of structure and acid, not overly ripe, and with an herbal/mineral finish. Great Chianti Classico

Sep 28th, 2015Blessedly under 14 degrees. Lovely blend of Morello cherry, sousbois, iron, dusty tannins, fresh acid, restrained wood. Served with dry-aged ribeye Florentine, canellini, salad of local lettuces. Did what Chianti should: wash down food, give idea of terroir (not ambition). Fresh and lively. Re-buy with conviction. Very good within context, good value, indeed.
