Pale garnet, neutral oak, earth, iodine, sanguine, tart red bramble, rust, oregano, elevated acid, medium+ tannin, medium body. Called it a Chianti!

Dec 23rd, 2023I wish all Chianti tasted like Felsina. Ok, yes it was a warm & ripe & fruity vintage, but there’s still a lot of depth & nuance that doesn’t get lost: Rosemary, thyme, bay leaf, black and red cherry, black plum pit, a touch of roast meat. Aromatic & supple, well-managed tannins. Bravo 👏🏻

Dec 12th, 2022A bright violet hue with a wide brim and nice legs. Medium intensity right out of the gate with a classic Chianti profile. Smoke and flowers on the nose. One of my favorite combinations. New leather and all of the dried cherry aromas you can handle.
I say classic Chianti profile and I mean it. Everything you know and love about it is right here. Typical nice structure and balance, this is a sturdy Italian that maintains its high level of quality throughout. Mushrooms and dirt, the good kind, on the palate. Joined by cranberries, herbs, and more and more cherries. Perfectly pleasant stuff.

Dry finish. Still a good quality for the entry level wine of Felsina
