Previous bottles have flattered to deceive with a beautiful nose on opening, only to fall away by the second glass. Not this bottle. It was consistent from beginning to end, with a glorious nose and all manner of sweet, savory, leathery, green and earthy notes on the palate, all in harmony. Great food wine too, particularly with slow cooked pork shoulder. At Charlie Bird, which continues to fire on all cylinders.
