Drinking really well out of half bottle, red and black fruits, sandalwood, plenty of savory notes on the palate, good line and length. Most enjoyable. Drink now. — 8 years ago
A pronounced note of Havana ash on the nose, with earth and blue and red fruits on the palate, this is very enjoyable now. Whether it gets any better depends on your preference for fruit or for more tertiary notes. If it's the former, drink up. If the latter, hold a couple of years. — 8 years ago
Drinking beautifully. Lovely aromatics followed by a broad mouthful of sweet red and black fruit, sandalwood, leather and a little grilled meat. Savory and delicious, at peak drinking for my taste but should hold steady for the medium term on this evidence. — 8 years ago
Spectacular. 12 year on from my last bottle and this continues to blow the doors off. Just amazing complexity on the nose with notes of camp fire, chocolate, coffee, olives, sandalwood and plums. The palate holds the notes of red fruit, pencil, coffee and sandalwood for about a minute. It has great texture and presence and it has plenty of backbone to hold itself through to the finish. Previous bottles have been as good as red wine gets. This is right up there. — 7 years ago
Three years in storage have brought these on a ton. Delicious mature, yeasty notes on the nose and the palate. Round and rich. When Krug is on, it's hard to beat. From 375 ml. — 8 years ago
Sadly, corked but not so that you couldn't see the quality of what lurks beneath. Red apple, pear, honey and brioche. And wet newspaper. 😩. Plenty of life and verve in the glass. Good bottles of this will be great. — 8 years ago
High shoulder fill and bottle in good condition, this turned out as well as I could have hoped. Plenty of tertiary complexity on the nose with notes of old mulch (what posher reviewers call "forest floor, I suspect), a little vegemite and some dried flowers and red fruits. The palate wasn't quite as expressive but had plenty of subtle pleasure to give and held itself together pretty well over two hours. Downhill from here- drink up. — 7 years ago
Super-young, all reserved and angular with notes of citrus water, a little salt and flinty edges. It is showing very little now, and I think it needs a fair bit of time but I wouldn't necessarily write it off. In one of those chicken and egg moments it reminds me of a young Arnot Roberts Chardonnay which can be fairly linear in their youth but develop plenty of nuance over time. This is neither a dud or a rock star but hopefully something in between. — 8 years ago
Drinking beautifully with notes of crunchy red fruits and plenty of earthiness and soft tannins. An object lesson in Brunello drinking windows and encouragement to leave my 06 and 07s to sleep in storage a while longer. — 8 years ago

Drinking beautifully, a classic graves nose and fuller and more complete in the mouth than previous bottles. In a great point in its development and entirely ready to drink. — 7 years ago
