Off the charts intensity, depth and length. A wine with absolutely everything there. Dusty tannins, eucalyptus, dried red fruit, tar and it goes on forever. An unreal body on this 36 year old.

My last bottle, reminds me of a very memorable visit to the beautiful city of Chicago. Drank one with Mr. Joseph Siler at some establishment. Glad all is well!

Penfolds tasted like it was only a couple of years old. Incredible fruit forward nature of the wine.

NYE 2020 (Sydney) so wine is commencing it’s 40th year
Double decanted as very tight and left 2 hours and it gradually opened at 3 hours it was really showing it’s straps.
Deep ruby crimson in colour nose of smoky and spicy aromas Palate shows some cedar toasty flavours .The palate has vanilla, chocolate and smoky flavours that are balanced with silky tannins and great structure and length

At 5 hours it’s magical and worth the wait and perfect at midmight
