Fattoria La Lecciaia (Pacini)
Riserva Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese

Lovely fruit on the palate. Easily drinkable. Not especially complex and no real late palate. Good food wine.

Solid Brunello - a good representation of a great wine. There is nothing wrong with this one, but it isn't quite as spectacular as others are. Nevertheless, it has all the hallmarks of a good Brunello - dark fruit, good but not overwhelming earth notes, nice tannin and complex spice notes, light but pleasant nose. Drank well with pasta and spicy red sauce. Maureen says, "dee-licious!"

2007 vintage on February 16, 2015. Still a little young and it shows in the tannins. Raspberries and beef. I love the way it evolves. Fruit forward and then the slight tartness (which will soften with more aging) hits the sides of your tongue then lingers and evolves forever. Very pleasant wine. I'd be curious to see how it drinks in 2018.
