Fattoria VillaLigi
Vernaculum Pergola Aleatico

Ancient varietal hanging out in the Marche... what a beauty: but rough out of the chute needed a long time to blow off ALC but then it showed beautiful delicate tart cherry, pomegranate, sweet baking spice, Earth, mingled with white pepper & licorice. Sort of went back & forth thinking it was like Carignan then Grenache. Juicy but not over the top, medium bodied semi opaque ruby color. Pliable tannins and a bit rustic finish, but really engaging.
