Nov 16th, 2019Not tried this for a while and it's better than I remember (and I liked it to start). Thick, creamy black fruit, violets, cardamon and other curry spices. Palate is rich, silky smooth and has fresh cherry, raspberry and grape concentrate, enough acidity to keep it lifted. Cracking wine for the price with pure, elegant fruit.

This is how mencia should be made! Reductive, fruit-forward with lightness and acidity to balance the brambly and pine qualities. Ripe strawberries, pine needles and tar dominate the nose. Black currant, and red cherry on the palate with darker, almost Asian spices. Incredible!
