Rhône-like qualities (slightly smoky) but surprisingly light on its feet.

Nov 19th, 2018Had a few bottles of the 2010 in early 2018. Very nice fruit with a bit of leather and still some tannic bite. Another year for rest.

Apr 6th, 2018Very drinkable immediately out of the bottle. Gorgeous wild raspberry, crushed violet, tar and brown tobacco on the nose. Vibrant acidity and well integrated tannins combine to bring balance to this well made wine. Years ahead in the bottle but drinking well now!

Jan 23rd, 2016Terrific balance, with spicy meatballs in tomato sauce on a cool fall day - a great combo.

Oct 22nd, 20152010 roasted tart cherries. Leather, vanilla, almonds. Something green on the nose (basil? Mint?). Cherry cobbler in a glass. I am at 7,500 feet up the mountain so it could skew things a bit. Robert Parker have this 94 points
