Typical old world wine... Earthy and complex. Fruits are not a bold as I'd expect in this "Shiraz" variety wine. Sip and think... White pepper is in there... Cherry? Blackberry? Not sure but it's got that coppery taste to it, with fruits and then white pepper... Been looking forward to a Crozes-Hermitage for years but couldn't justify it when there are so many new world wines to try... Worth it? Yeah but this is thinkin' wine, not drinkin' wine!!! Debbie likes it "very drinkable".
