Great black fruits coupled with chewy and beautifully coated tannins and this haunting smoky nose from the Aglianico grape.
It may not be at the level of their "Serpico" but still very impressive and punching way above its class...at least to my humble palate.

Hmmmm. Licorice heat on the nose, still had biting tannins and a clipped finish....maybe even a hint of brett.

PnP, the nose is quite special, massive oaky characters, savory notes, dirt. The palate has very sweet and well integrated tannin. Strong cassis nose and palate. The finish is intense and long. Very good first impression. Definitely buy again. As it evolves in the glass, chocolate and mineral come out. Juicy black cherry flavors dominate. Love it.

Stewed black cherries, leather and tobacco, but the heavy oak treatment stands out as a bourbon-like finish, that while enjoyable, seems wrong.

Rich, tannic, ripe and structured with lots of rustic aglianico going on. Solid ripe stuff.
