Firestone Walker Brewing Company
Opal Farmhouse Ale

A lovely farmhouse. Not over the top yeasty. Can't really taste hops. Clean and refreshing.

Bright spicy phenolics of orange peel, ginger, pepper, coriander. Light, high carbonation, dry but with a lingering spicy sweetness. This is an obvious attempt to clone Saison Dupont, but doesn't really contribute anything novel. While a solid product, as a consumer, it confuses me why I would buy this over the original. Just to support local? Nah, not enough.
