Had this gem at a big PE tasting in NYC. Deep red and gentle light aromas of fruit and perfumed and herb spices. A blend of 75% Cab Sauvignon, 15% Cab Franc, 5% Merlot, & 5% Petite Verdot. Rich Forman had his 45th harvest in 2011, his son Toby helps him run this family winery. On the palate cherry and blackberry flavors with an underlying sweetness with herb spice, rich and full of tastes. Fine layered tannins opening up the quality of this wine. Very approachable now on s lingering finish. Tasting Sample.

So underripe, acidic and loaded with vegetal pyrizinic character i was in love. Green peppercorn like loire cab franc. A rich chinon or bourgois. Instant happiness.
