Backwoods Bastard Ale Aged in Oak Barrels
I didn't think to post those until I was almost done. I have (or had, if I'm being honest) a five year vertical of this. At 10%+ ABV, there is no way am I making it through a vertical, even with a few friends. This bottle was a fun experience to say the least. A chocolatey brown color with half a finger of head with some sediment. The bourbon notes are still there, but muted. Plenty of vanilla and chocolate notes. Where is the alcohol? Super sneaky 10.5% abv. I'm glad I decided to open this, what a fun experience.
