Nose is heavy on red fruit, a touch of that Zin spiciness.
Incredibly smooth mouthfeel. Very sweet on the palate again with red fruit and a tannic spicy twist that keeps things interesting.
This one is worth giving a try. I would consider buying again, but would not necessarily seek it out.

Nov 26th, 2020Interesting port style wine. 2008 vintage. It's got a lot of vanilla caramel notes and I bought it in Binny's in Chicago because it is called port and in the UK it would not be allowed to be called port.

Apr 6th, 2015Not a bad treat for $10. I don't like it as much as a couple late harvest zins I've had recently, but I would recommend this every time over one of the Cali "ports" that most people grab off the bottom shelf. Not as viscous as I hoped for though.
