Chaillot Cornas Syrah

Good but still a little more rugged than I hoped.

Ripe and deep but not as savory or interesting at this point as the 2010s. Seems to be a theme between the 09 and 10 northern Rhone

Burly. Happy to cellar this for many more years. Dark, brooding fruit with a great deal of woodiness showing. There's great acid here that will help it age over a long period.

Depth and elegance together - really good

Pretty tight and closed for now, but with good potential.

Lovely Syrah

Small productions are so good. So much soul! Still has a long life ahead of it but totally drinkable and enjoyable now. Tannic still hitting but obviously getting softer.

Black fruits, meat and subtle spice but it needs to be coaxed out....extremely tight but the structure is there...needs some serious time but will be sick some day...

Charcoal, raspberry, blackberry, tar, slate and wet rocks. Chalky and grainy. Chewy at first but settles down. Serious wine.
