Just concluded our annual Fall seclusion at our cabin in the Rangeley lakes region of Maine, mobile service up there is mostly non-existent, after several days I am posting again. Notes are somewhat brief, as my focus is relaxing and watching the Common Loons swimming and diving in the cove in front of our camp.
Nose has pineapple core, lemon zest and papaya peel.
Palate has oxidized orange, dried orange peel, dried lemon peel, fresh apricot, blood orange and grapefruit peel.
Either past peak or still needs more time, last time we had this bottle the sweetness was over the top ~9 years ago; still sweet but mellowed some, more oxidative than past memory.

At the perfect stage of its evolution, beautiful and precise aromas of citrus and honeydew melon, powdery texture intermixed with some aged characteristics. Delicious now and great value!

The deep, sunny yellow of sunflowers. Shy but complex nose of honey, apricot, mango and several floral and animal notes. Demi-sec palate. Rich and sensual. More passionfruit than apricot. Plus mango and pineapple. Awesome balance.

Jul 9th, 2017A tad denser and richer than the bottle I had last time. Tropical scents, candied citrus, ginger, melon and mango. But also a very attractive sweet vegetal note on the palate: parsnip, grilled butternut squash, honey drizzled carrotcake, something like that. Not too sweet, truly demi sec. Great with a mango/chicken salad!

Lovely balance in sweetness and acidic backbone. Voluptuous mid-palate, but finishes nearly dry. Lovely demi-sec.
