The aroma suffers from a restricted range and intensity but the texture has a suppleness that is reminiscent of much more mature wine. Also shows a density of structure unexpected of a Barolo normale.

Definite decanter. Noticeable fruit with a polished finish. Perfect compliment to some aged Parmigiano reggiano & cured meats.
Nice casual dinner wine.

Subtle, but when you pay attention, it is great. Slatey minerals, cherry, strawberry, slight anise, and the slightest hint of tar. High-minus acidity keeps one coming back for more. Does not do well in mixed flights—too nuanced.
