Fugue de Nénin
Pomerol Red Bordeaux Blend
Pomerol, Libournais, Bordeaux, France
Pretty underwhelming considering the price I paid and Chateau Nenin's reputation. Typical dark fruits, notably plum, but too spicy and tannic - my pairing with an au-poivre beef fillet wasn't ideal I suppose - but even afterwards, the wine was merely an unexciting Merlot lacking in complexity. Disappointed. 2005 as well - should have been better.

Acceptable but not interesting Bordeaux. Nothing like Chateau Nenin. Tastes like a cheap Claret that could be served anywhere. Too expensive for what it is.
