After dumping a few spoiled remnants, this random ass bottle from the pops’ cellar turned out to be more than drinkable. Still got wonderful fresh red fruit. Lots of cracked black pepper. Tannins dusty but still lending structure. Very little tertiary or Syrah meatiness despite age and no oak. Only slight color loss. Just shocked it’s so lively.
