An oops bottling from the estate. 17% and technically dry. Took months to ferment fully. A ready-to-be-popped balloon of blue and blackberry preserves. Just mind-boggling in it’s weirdness and utter composure . — 4 years ago
Took so much time to open up but charming on day 2 after a recork in the fridge. Violets, fresh blue-cran-strawberry, fine lardons. Soft texture and lacy tannins. — 4 years ago
Clean flirtatious cherry cordial and tinges of roasted mushroom. — 4 years ago
Ripe SB fruit with turned red earth and wind-blown garrigue. Not as wild as their estate Syrah, take that or leave it. — 4 years ago
Full-bodied magic this vintage. Lemon almond shortbread, green pear buttercream and a ripping bead of tangy underripe pineapple acid.
A smash hit paired with chicken, braised with white wine, lemon, chilis, cilantro and garlic.

Candied orange peel and bergamot tea. I’m still not sure I have the orange wine gene but I’ll take mine from Morocco in future! Skin contact Muscat and Viognier. Thanks @Lauren Vance — 4 years ago
I couldn’t believe this bottle was as fresh as I was told it would be. Utter magic. Beautiful color, only ever so slightly bricked. Raspberry coulis, blood orange and new saddle leather, barely diminished acid and heavenly pillow-soft tannin. It actually opened up with air. Let it be known Joel Peterson’s legacy is still waiting to blow your mind. — 4 years ago

Absolutely beautiful. Vibrant lilac, rose and hyacinth, raspberry preserves, plum paste, cracked pepper, crushed stones, fluffy pork fat everywhere. Soft and plump. — 4 years ago
