Not mind-blowing or amazing, but not bad. Aroma and taste are typical of a Cabernet Sauvignon.

Medium to deep ruby red. Dark nose with anise, gunpowder, dark berries, and gravel. Light spices and earthiness too. Medium tannins (6/10) and light plus to medium body. Notes of black cherries, spices, woody and some sweet spices. Medium finish. Drink till 2020.

I let it decant for about an hour & a half then tried my first glass.
Strong on the nose with almost a dark cherry/ peppery smell.
I get a jammy blackberry with dark cherry/ subtle cocoa. Not as smokey as I'd like or nutty but I'll update this as the wine decants further

I was totally surprised with the complexity and depth of this wine, at such a reasonable price point. It's a treasure trove of vanilla and dark berries. As it opens up, there are pleasurable layers of cocoa and tobacco. I'll be picking up a few more bottles.

Very nice cab. We use this as a first wine. Very good flavor right from the start.
