Riserva Barolo Nebbiolo

Nice nose. Plum and underbrush with roses and dried apricot. Very clear with a hint of band aid and great purity with a slightly bitter black pepper note near the end. Very soulful and clear. Excellent

So special to get a chance to drink this but it was a bit beyond its optimal drinking window a little dried out and faded, a bit disappointing alas

Needs 1 hour to start to open. This was a really great bottle.

Alive and kicking

Very youthful still; this was not showing everything it has. Full fruit, deep color. This can still improve

Bought over 15 yrs ago from the winery... a little funk on opening and then the wine just got better and better like a freight train... a great 60 yr old bottle that belied it’s age and probably will go strong for another 20 yrs

Truffle, earth, rose, olive, and some slight cherry on finish. 55 years old, no matter the technology this taste and smell cannot be replicated without waiting 50 years. Think of all the things that have happened since this was bottled. A special, memorable experience.

Class.

Lots of oxidized sour cherry, tabacco, old leather aromas. Med body, med p acid, med p tannin(sweet tannin), oxidized cherry. concentrated, sweet jammy texture, long finish with sweet dark cherry, hint of tabacco, leather. Balanced among fruit, tannin, bitterness. Yum!
