Superiore Barbera d'Alba

Big meaty nose, luxardo cherries, black cherries, nice acidity, lip-smacking indeed. 6 yrs has been good to this.
It has, upon pouring, a murky, meaty, feral aspect to the nose.
Like amarena cherries w dried beef.
Delicious, and we just PnP.
So glad I found this.

On a collllddd night this was the perfect partner for linguine ala carbonara.
Big, 15° Also big dark cherries, a medicinal quality with big tar on the nose. Bright acids, grippy too, not overtly. A joy to drink. This one just keeps better.

N: Well , the wife and I said fruity shoes!
Lots of leather, black cherries, salt, plums, tar. Almost Nebbiolo tar.
P: Black Black cherries, an unidentifiable bitterness on the finish like biting into a cherry pit. Savory elements mixed with generous fruit. Bright acidity, low tannins.
A big boy, 15°, but carries its weight Very well. Can’t wait to see how this ages.
At the base of the torré Barbaresco.
Yummmm. Planted in territory usually reserved for Nebbiolo.
