Giovanni Chiappini
Guado de' Gemoli Bolgheri Superiore Super Tuscan Blend
All around tops. One of the best wines I have ever tasted

Oct 30th, 2021Layered, expressive nose of blackberry, cassis, cedar, espresso, light soy source, tobacco, and herbal spices. Very refined palate with dark fruits brighten by beautiful acidity and ripe velvety candied tannins. The finish feels like endless.
80/20 Cab/Merlot from 2 vineyards, raised in French oak barrel for 18 months, 15% new (Nose suggested much heavier oak use, but by no means it’s okay).
I don’t remember when and where I acquired this bottle, but I’m glad I did.

Arguably too young to open now, this wine's balance and overall supertuscan complexity was a hit with all tasters
