Gordon Estate
Estate Grown Columbia Valley Syrah
I do enjoy a good Syrah from good ol' Washington. Soft nose for a Syrah, typical notes of gamey grilled meat, herbs, and nutmeg spices. Less oaky than previous vintages which I liked, exhibiting ripe blueberries, cocoa, dried herbs, and a smooth lacey tannin to the finish. Good value in the $20 department, but I think I'd enjoy a Croze-Hermitage for the same money a little more. Goes well with a good burger though!
