Gothic Wine
Nevermore Pinot Noir
This shows off the savory side of PN. Dark, brooding nose gives up a bit of black cherry but mostly moist, peaty earth and chipped slate. Rich, savory flavors display some plummy fruit. It's mouthfilling and shows a bit of coarse tannin, but not so much it's distracting. Great value that shows lots of character. (BTW, these are night 2 notes. Pretty closed on night 1.)

Mar 24th, 2018Nice translucent ruby color. Nose is quite weak with berry note, anise, some spice, but in general, marginal. Taste of acidity from berries, some tannins, some anise, vanilla, and strawberries. Aftertaste is short with some bitter rustic and graphite note. This wine is well polished, fruity, and round but lack of distinctive fragrance really turns me off.
