Rich yellow hue; slightly off oxidized scent, toasted oak as well; floral, citrus taste with plenty of oak; oxidation dissipated slightly on taste after about 15 min. Nice enough, but oak makes this so difficult to pair with food.

May 2nd, 2018This was a fun one to drink! Had a few years in the cellar and came out with a little extra complexity and wow factor. Nothing crazy good and I certainly wouldn't hold on to it much longer but it was worth sitting on one of these and letting it evolve.
It was showing a little extra butterscotch, and the subdued fruit was allowing some nice minerality to show through.
There was maybe just a touch of an unwanted oxidative quality to it, but certainly not offensive.
Paired great with some chevre.
