This is a good Merlot. I have been exploring some Merlots and the ‘16 Grgich Hills is excellence in Merlot. Full-bodied with bright flavors, like blackberry but also mild acidity.

This is a nice bright wine. Lively raspberries, vanilla and baking spices. Consistent with Merlot wines generally, this one can be enjoyed with or without food. I do not see this improving with time. Enjoy now.
