The 2015 Groth ‘Reserve’ Cabernet Sauvignon is a stunning wine from this storied Napa estate. On the nose there are copious dark fruits with dark chocolate shavings and damp earth undertones that connect the fruit with the terroir. In the mouth the wine reveals a gorgeous, rich mouthfeel and a really nice viscosity. The combination of viscosity and tension excites the senses. Mocha, creme de cassis and anise with cigar box flavors all beautifully come together in the glass. A stunning effort, give this a two plus hour decant if enjoying in its youth. Drink 2019-2040- 94

Much better than good. After a 2 hour decant, the fine but persistent tannins integrated gently with mocha and medium blue fruit. Simply mesmerizing and beautiful.
