Kathryn Hall Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

This wine is a douzy. So squid ink dark, mocha, mint, chocolate, dense, full bodied and 15.8 percenty!

Deep purplish ruby red. Rich and intense on the nose with layers of cinnamon, blackberries, nutmeg, cassis, mocha and cocoa. Full bodied and plush with medium plus tannins (7/10) and balanced acidity. Love the palate, big and voluptuous with layers of blackberries, blueberries, black currants, baking spices and a touch of minerality. Long and lingering finish with a little bit of dryness too. Drink till 2045.

Don't get me wrong, this is already phenomenal. Ruby ring and royal purple core. As of this moment, the legs are still falling. Smoked cedar, game meat and currant on the nose. A plush mouthfeel of blackberry pie, aged plum and granite. I don't regret consuming one now, but I need to make sure I have 1 or 2 cellared away. 5-7 years from now, this will be quite different.

How are they getting that much for a bottle?

This is a full bodied excellent cab. Notes of dark fruit, tobacco with a smooth lingering finish

A bit different than the other KHall cabs but it drank nicely. Loads of cassis, leather and smoke. This is a Full bodied, inky black in the glass drink. Smoke and charcoal dominate with beautiful tannins and a nice long finish.

Against my best intentions I bought more wine including more of this one, so I need to start making room in the cellar :) This is coming together great and tastes wonderfully right now. Smooth integrated tannins and black current. A great wine.

Deep colors. Some jam but not over the top. Delicious w a tasty finish ! That’s saying something :)
