Hall Wines
Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon
We had the 2013 Vintage on 7/25/20. A well balanced, fruit forward, full bodied wine. Tastes of blackberry and blueberry. More akin to the Napa floor as opposed to Stags Leap.

Jul 27th, 2020Final wine of the night. Very little decant time but this is a dark berry beast. Inky black in the glass and a load of flavor. After an hour this wine exploded with leather, cedar and plum. A mouthful of deliciousness.

Nov 11th, 2018The 90th percentile of ripe Napa Cab (well, it is a Hall), this, nonetheless presents with elegance, tucking nearly 16% ABV into a plush, composed package. If anything, I feel the terroir of Stags is overshadowed by ripeness and, dare I say, additive sugar.

Sep 2nd, 2018Inky dark in glass. Bold, dark fruit. Bruiser at 15.8% ABV, but hides it well!

Oct 28th, 2017Also 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from one of my favorite appellations, Stags Leap. This one is more berry fruits than the plums of the Bergfeld and has more black pepper. These are great big wines...just young.
