Interesting bargain #gamay from a well known producer. This 2016 shows a fair bit of bricking the glass; a day after uncorking shows some nice sour cherry, wet slate notes and a ghost of mace spice on the nose. Palate is less impressive with some raisiny notes along with expected tart cherry, suggesting a gentle decline past maturity, but still a solid QPR wine for ~$14 at Costco. Decant with patience for your best experience.

Dec 30th, 20205/19. I must admit the label HENRY FESSY caught my eye. Nice medium Pinot. I generally prefer bigger Pinot’s. At least 14% alc.
