A real triumph for the Niagara region, this Can-Merlot blend had bold flavors and one of the best bouquets I've smelt, certainly out of the north east. A toned earthiness is prominent both within the initial taste as well as the nose, but tart black cherry notes round out the finish. Great full bodied dry red to pair nicely with our spice rubbed pork tenderloin. On a personal level, huge fan of this Canadian wine: Henry of Pelham, being a duel citizen of Canada and USA, and born and raised in Pelham, NY!
