Hermann J. Wiemer
Josef Vineyard Riesling
Mark and I agreed to meet up at Classic this afternoon for some quick wine drinking, but it eventually turned in to a small wine gathering! Wine is great, but sharing it with others is so enjoyable.
This was a really unique White to enjoy while we waited on the Shafer. Sugar? Yes. Overload? Not at all. Grapefruit, pear, and even some animal cracker after taste! Finger Lakes Riesling is something to keep an eye on.

Interesting Single Vineyard Riesling from one of the best FLX producers. Yes, there is residual sugar, but it is balanced by crisp acidity. Pears, grapefruit and a hint of slate and petrol. A taste of vanilla wafers on the finish. I prefer a dry Riesling, but this little “sweetie” is quite delicious. Great as a dessert wine or with hot and spicy food.
