Jun 16th, 2018Pop n poured this. More merlot than usual this year and that is not a bad thing (merlot is farella). It's interesting because most 2013s and 2015s I would say will age better than 14, but hunnicutt's 13/15s should be drank before the 14.

Jul 25th, 2022Outstanding wine, artfully balanced, jammy beginning but there isn’t a trace afterwards; rich intensity. The complexity comes in a “slow mo” kinda way on the palate due the hefty velvety feel but it is there, and the long tannic vanillish finish is, closure.

Jan 23rd, 2021Impressive. Deep dark ruby color. The nose is opulent with black cherry, blackberry, plum, oak, hints of vanilla and tobacco. On the pallet it is intense with dark fruit; a supple and velvety mouthfeel. Medium-high tannings with a long finish. Every bit complex and round. One of the best bang-for-the-buck Napa Cab’s I’ve tasted in long long time. Cheers!

Nov 29th, 2020Nice dense cherry nose. A touch of green, some licorice, and pleasant espresso bitter notes keep it from being a one dimensional fruitforward cab. Dark black cherry fruit. Medium + tannin. Really appreciate hunnicutt going easy on the oak on their wines. Drinkable now.
