I Vigneri di Salvo Foti
Etna Rosso Nerello Mascalese Nerello Cappuccio
Clean cherry and dark fruit. Ash and soft mineral. Good acidic vein. Gripping tannins. Would like to revisit this with a few more years under the belt.

Nov 21st, 2014Deep, concentrated, and a touch raw. It's a big 'un but with plenty of verve.

Nov 11th, 2014Man, have had some more recent bottles of the entry level I Vigneri Rosso and haven’t been blown away, but this one from the above average warm 2012 vintage seems to be hitting its stride, especially from magnum @Ted Corvey - Etna Cherries giving away to tobacco and lava rock with firm tannins and just enough acid to give this wine a memorable finish with quite the persistence. Only problem was I had to share it with 7 others.
