If You See Kay
Lazio Cabernet Sauvignon
80% Cab Sauv 10% Petit Verdot 5% Zin 5% Syrah. I love this wine. It has Italian character but geared towards Western palettes. Ripe flavors of blackberries and olives; sweeter jammier flavors from the zinfandel; a luscious mocha body from syrah. It smells dark sweet and fragrant, and goes down very smooth; very smooth tannins that set more heavily as the finish lingers on white pepper notes.

Feb 24th, 2019I’ve been wanting to try this wine for a while. Finally found a couple of bottles at Zyn wine market in Calgary- this is a delicious Italian wine with 80% Cab, 15% Primitivo and 5% Petite Verdot. A deep, dark purple colour with aromas of cassis, chocolate and a hint of cardamom. The palate is juicy with long tannins and vibrant flavours of BlackBerry, coffee and a hint of tobacco. Super exuberant and daringly delicious. 9.2/10

Aug 19th, 2018Didn't taste as good as I remember. I loved the 2012 vintage. This one tasted bitter on the end. Too much bite on the finish. Not as velvety on the tongue. The 2015 is probably too young at this time. Needs to mature.
