Sour berries; dried dark fruit; balsamic vinegar; green olive. Necessary tonic. Very interesting wine and good to drink after a few hours decanting.

Fur backdrop nessecary- enticing aromas of animal/mineral/fruit with a soft, but natural touch.

Not filtered, wild yeast, no temp. control... All the things that make a wine unique - and it shows here with some wild acidity. There is a pleasant sourness here with some cranberry and strawberry balsamic note and then that crazy, sour tannin structure.

From my understanding this is the first release from this estate and I enjoyed the effort. Not groundbreaking, but drinkable and I enjoyed the expression of 100% Pignatello. The nose showed berries with a slight funk. The palate was light with a pronounced acidity and mirrored the nose with raspberry, while also possessing some minerality. By no means complex and not the best expression if someone is not familiar with Sicilian wine and its varietals, yet a nice first attempt.

Light red color, sour natural smell. Tart finish of strawberry citrus. Anthony says leaves you wanting to find more obvious fruit.

In a sucker for these natural wines. The texture is really what does it for me. Wish it was easier to find info online about these guys. If anybody knows a good source for info, please let me know! Not even mentioned on rosenthals site

Acetone central. A bit too much for my tastes.
