Found one last bottle. Purple-red, lightly extracted, very good clarity. Spearmint and funk notes in nose. Blackberry, blueberry flavors with hints of cola, sassafras. Moderate skin, seed tannins.

Feb 12th, 2019Last bottle of vintage. Light to moderate extraction of pigment, mostly red in color. Raspberry caramel and herbal-spearmint notes in nose, spearmint, blackberry and blueberry flavors, raspberry (and later dill) in finish. Barrel smoke emerges four hours after opening. Good balance, moderate medium-weight skin astringency with some seed bitterness. Still age worthy but drinkable now. Great varietal character, shows real depth and complexity of fruit without wood or barrel components dominating. Makes me wish I had six more bottles put down.

Oct 17th, 2018Light to moderate hue, purple and brick red. Notes of strawberry jam and cherry fruit leather in nose. Similar flavors initially, coffee and mild astringency on finish with seed tannin mouthfeel. With time, berry, cola, tea and dill flavors present. Decent stuff

Berry cherry smoke notes in mouth (later morphing almost into cola) with some tongue coating astringency in finish. Strawberry and blackberry aftertaste. A little aging might polish the few minor edges remaining in the wine

A wonderful wine tasted at the domaine and again at a Motel 6 in Portland. So natural, so affordable, so delicious. Love these guys.

This winemaker is fast becoming my favorite Oregon Pinot source. Deep color , wonderful aroma and deep Pinot fruit flavor. Not as good as "1899" their premium but half the price. Try some
