A very pretty color of ruby with a wide reddish rim.
On the nose bing cherries, red candied apples, blueberries, earth, light oak, spices, light licorice and sweet raspberries.
Medium bodied and elegant, with medium plus acidity.
Dry on the palate with raspberries, strawberries, sour cherries, light chocolates, light oak, spices, earth, bitter herbs, light vegetables, tobacco leaf and black pepper.
Tangy on the medium finish with soft tannins and cranberries.
This 8 year old Pinot Noir from Burgundy is drinking very nicely now, but still has more in it to continue maturing in the next 10 years.
Needs a couple of hours to open up properly.
I would have liked it to have more complexity, which will probably come with some more time in the bottle.
Fruit forward, elegant and enjoyable. Showing nice structure and mouthfeel.
This 2015 vintage in Burgundy was great, and it is showing. Will be nice to revisit it in 5 years.
Good by itself and better with food.
Aged for 18 months in French Oak barrels (40% new), 30% whole Cluster.
13% alcohol by volume.
90 points.
$100.
